Estrogen

ESTROGEN IS DIVIDED INTO THREE HORMONES:

Estrogen is divided into three hormones:

  1. Estrone (E1) is the estrogen in menopause.
  2. Estradiol (E2) is the estrogen of the reproductive phase. It is the most potent and active form of estrogen.
  3. Estriol (E3) is the estrogen of pregnancy.

ESTROGEN IN WOMEN

Many studies have documented that estrogen makes women not only feel better, but healthier. Women who supplement with estrogen have better muscle tone, fewer wrinkles, healthier hair, increased energy, and more satisfying sex. Estrogen users stand taller and straighter and can avoid osteoporosis. They cut the risk of heart disease and stroke in half as compared to non-users. Estrogen users have a very low incidence of Alzheimer’s disease and senility. They usually do not suffer from vaginal dryness, urogenital atrophy, and associated infections that can become debilitating.

It is through estrogen supplementation that we have learned the importance of optimal hormone balance and the synergy of replenishing all hormones. In fact, it is not until women lose estrogen that they start to experience heart disease and bone loss and deterioration. Simply by replacing this hormone, much of this chronic disease and detriment can be prevented.

Victory Rejuvenation Center addresses the potential risks and complications of hormone therapy. They are minimal if managed properly by a trained expert. VRC will make sure you are supported, walk you through the process, and make sure you understand each step of the way! Having your estrogen levels balanced is essential for optimal health for a variety of reasons.

ESTROGEN IS IMPORTANT IN MEN

Men on testosterone hormone therapy are often given medication to lower, or even zero out, their estrogen levels. That is not a healthy approach to hormone therapy. Estrogens play a major role in many metabolic processes. The depletion of estrogen can lead to many problems including, digestive issues, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and cardiovascular disease. VRC does not routinely lower estrogen levels in men. We monitor them and intervene as needed.

HORMONE THERAPY IN LGBTQ POPULATION

Hormone therapy is a type of gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and genderqueer (LGBTQ) populations as treatment for gender dysphoria (GD), body uneasiness, and sexual dysfunction. VRC does not provide services for gender-affirming hormone therapy. We will happily refer you to qualified professionals if that is a service that you are seeking.

We do however, treat the LGBTQ population with hormone replacement therapy for aging, as we do in the non-LGBTQ population. We welcome all persons/couples interested in hormone replacement therapy for changing hormone levels associated with the aging process.

VRC will help you feel better and improve your quality of life with hormone balancing. Contact us now for your appointment!
